What is a Hydroxyl?
Atmospheric Hydroxyls (∙OH) are molecules that occur naturally in our atmosphere and have been recognized as such for over 50 years. They are created when the ultraviolet rays of the sun react with airborne water vapor, and are the single most important cleansing agent in our outdoor environment.
Are these Hydroxyl generators safe to run in occupied areas?
Yes! Unlike using ozone or harsh chemicals, hydroxyls are completely safe for people, animals and plants. They do not damage rubber, plastic, leather, vinyl, electronics or virtually any materials. Hydroxyls do not bleach or discolour any items that are damp or wet.
What type of maintenance is required?
Very little, mainly just an annual preventative maintenance program to assure optimal operation. Optics need to be replaced yearly in most environments and every two years for home use.
What is the warranty?
The manufacturer provides a 1 year full parts and labour warranty on all generators with additional annual preventative contracts available. We have contacted a national service provider to provide annual scheduled maintenance.
How long does it take to work?
Results are often noticed within the first few minutes of operation, heavy odours being permanently eliminated after 2-4 days along with the pathogens in an enclosed space and thus cleansed for the duration of operation.
How large of an area will it process?
The area covered by one generator will vary depending on several factors such as layout of the structure, severity of problem and airflow. All of our generators are engineered to solve specific challenges, and there is no challenge too large that we can't handle. We offer equipment that can process a car, trailer, or hotel room as well as a large industrial complex as large as 500,000 square feet utilizing 1 industrial unit only.
What makes your equipment better than other air purification systems?
RADICAL equipment produces atmospheric hydroxyls, which are what the earth uses to naturally clean its atmosphere by neutralizing odours and pathogens, (bacteria, virus, and fungi) not just in the air we breathe but on all surfaces in an enclosed space. Ozone generators, ionizers, chemicals and other devices all create complicated and dangerous side effects to your health and only mask problems, they do not eliminate them.
How does it kill mould?
RADICAL devices purify large areas of infected airspace by cutting off the food source for mould. As a result, there is nothing for mould to feed on since the very bacteria and micro-organisms that fed it have been killed off. Next there is the direct attack of the hydroxyl to the mould organism itself. This action neutralizes the mould. Only in this way can mould be rendered inert and cannot be resurrected.
Is equipment easy to use?
Yes! Simply plug it in to a standard 120/240 volt power supply, turn it on and let it run. They run on less than 3 amps of power and cost less than .50 cents per day for power. The machines are tough, portable and lightweight. Our machines are also equipped with international universal power supplies which allows simple and quick adaptation to different power requirements.
How long should it take to sanitize and average home?
An average home with about 2,000 square feet of space would use one (1) wall mounted device and should take 48-72 hours to sanitize both hard and soft surfaces. Should your home have more than one HVAC system, then it would be appropriate to place one device in each HVAC system. All of our systems are engineered to run 24/7 and are ultra-quiet.
Do you have portable systems?
Yes. Portable systems are available for various applications. Our Desktop or Consumer unit is designed for cars, semi-trailer cabs, hotel rooms, etc. (600-800 sq. ft.)
Where are our products manufactured?
Our products are sourced, manufactured and assembled in the USA for domestic and international clients. As demand increases, we can address global expansion utilizing our global manufacturing partners multiple company owned plants worldwide.
Is this product expensive?
Our hydroxyl unit is very cost effective and in multiple industrial applications saved the client in true savings the cost of the unit(s) within months and some within weeks. Our system also can and improve quality of life through sanitized air and odour elimination for those with pets.
How quickly can I get my unit(s)
Generally for our non-industrial units our goal is to ship within 10-15 business days, depending on where you are located, delivery times can vary.
